Dear André
 I was going to say the dust had settled since our return from Botswana, but it would be more accurate to say that the last of the Kalahari dust has been thoroughly removed! Eight loads of washing and two days later, we are still experiencing the 'afterglow' of our memorable Jewel of Africa Safari. Thank you so much for everything you offered and organised to set our trip up to be the success it was. We loved exploring new territory and listing our total of 80 birds. For me, the glimpse of the Okavango Delta, the Chobe River drive and cruise, and the changing panorama of camelthorns and baobabs were the highlights. Oh – and the sunsets, sunrises and fireside stories, of course!
Nev and I found it quite tough at times as we were unfamiliar with the whole game of camping and 4x4-ing, and, as everyone knew, we were under-equipped. The constant stopping to get into our two funny little tents certainly put our backs and knees through their paces (but then you are are only young once, ne?)! Diddy & Robert had so much they were prepared to share, thank goodness, and this certainly made mealtimes much easier. My notebook now has two full pages of tips - for the next time!

 The Jewel of Africa Safari from 1 to 13 April 2007 was an unforgettable experience. It was without a doubt value for money and you have managed it in a very professional manner without any hitch at all. It was a great privilege to have you as our safari leader and we are looking forward to do the Central Kalahari Safari with you during 2008.
Explore-Africa Adventures is tops.

Dear André,
 I take the chance to send you a few fotos from our extrordinary trip to Central Africa... In general I am happy with the result of my fotos. I think Max will give you a CD with a short overview of our safari. For sure, you will be the only member of our group, who has passed again places where we stayed together...
In the meantime all of us are back in our "normal" lives, but the rememberance of that special time will stay forever.

 I first encountered André van Vuuren on the 2006 Jewel of Africa Safari. He both promised a "life-changing experience" and delivered on that promise. Since then I have joined him again on the 2006 Tuli Block Safari and will once again follow him on the Zambia, Malawi Mozambique Safari Circuit in April/May 2007. As a single woman I require a Safari Guide who knows his stuff and, for me, André van Vuuren is this guide. It speaks volumes that on both the Tuli Block Safari and my next Safari I will, once again, meet up with some of the fellow "explorerers" I first met on the 2006 Jewel of Africa Safari.

Explore Africa organised everything including visas and we met André van Vuuren in Pietersburg for the experience of a lifetime. André certainly has a way with people and his knowledge of Africa, the local people and the wildlife makes a trip with him as a leader really something special.
It is possible to do this trip on your own but I am sure you will miss more than half of all the interesting places and special things to do and experience.
